Description

This is a 1:1 fully guided 7 day hunt. Hunter will stay in a nice wall tent for the duration of the hunt. This hunt will be conducted on horseback. This hunt will be conducted on a mixture of private and public land. Great opportunity for big bulls. A traditional backcountry elk hunt with a nice wall tent. Option to add a mule deer buck with a trophy fee. Options for a non-hunter. Regular draw generally takes 9 points. Special draw generally takes 8 points. 30% at 5 points. On average hunters see 30-100 bulls per trip. This can be arranged for either an archery hunt or a rifle hunt. Archery season runs Sept 15-Sept 30th. Rifle season runs 1 October through the end of October.

      • Member Price: $10,500.00
      • Non-Member Price: $12,000.00

      Licenses not included in the hunt price. To purchase a point only, you will be expected to pay a flat fee of about $52 for elk. If applying for the draw, a conservation stamp (appx. $21.50) is required. If archery hunting an additional archery permit (not necessary for type 9/archery only licenses) for about $72 is required. All license fees are paid up front when applying- fees vary from special to regular drawings. Regular elk licenses cost about $707. Special elk licenses cost about $1,283. It should be noted that special licenses DO NOT offer any additional or "special" privileges- special licenses are simply offered to nonresidents to pay a more expensive license fee in exchange for better draw odds. Applying in the special is recommended for those members looking to apply and draw with 0 or less than max points to draw in the regular drawing. If applicant is NOT drawn, a refund will be initiated for the license fees and a point will need purchased in the summer point purchasing period July - October. Points are NOT awarded if not drawn for elk, deer, or antelope. The application fee must also be remitted when applying (appx. $15). *******2024 Available dates: 2 Spots and October 23-29th, 2 Spots.

      Refund Policy:

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Fresh foods will be provided for this hunt. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes. Tacos, steaks, and hamburgers.

      Hunter should be prepared to ride most of the day and do some moderate hiking once good bulls are spotted. 3 hour horseback ride into camp. Most elk are bedded near where camp is set up.


      Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

      Final destination city to fly into is Billings or Casper Wyoming. It is a approximately 2 hour drive. $250 dollar fee to be picked up from the airport and shuttled to base camp.

      This is a horseback hunt. Hunter will stay in a nice wall tent set up in the backcountry. Hunter should be be prepared for some moderate hiking for this hunt. This is a great hunt for those looking for a backcountry hunt. Good meals with fresh food will be provided. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
