A great opportunity to hunt large mule deer in New Mexico. This hunt targets trophy units for both successful draw applicants and for those who want to hunt on a landowner voucher. All hunts will be 1:1 fully guided 5-day hunts. Option to add meals and lodging for this hunt. Depending on what unit is drawn, lodging will vary from wall tent, to lodge, to outfitter provided hotel. Some units require horseback and pack ins, while some are less physical. Whether you choose the fully outfitted or guided-only option, your hunt will include skinning, quartering and rough caping. Private landowner tags available in south-central New Mexico. This outfitter will guide anywhere in New Mexico that a public tag is drawn. The price listed is for a GUIDE ONLY PUBLIC land hunt. This hunting package includes 1:1 fully guided 5-day hunt with expert guide service, field transportation, skinning, quartering and rough caping. If hunter would like access on private land and/or meals and lodging, those options must be selected below. The application period for big game species in New Mexico typically opens early in the year (January) and closes sometime in early to mid-March.

License not included in the hunt price. An annual game hunting license (appx. $65) and habitat stamp (appx. $10) are required when applying. New Mexico does require that species license fees be paid up front, in which case a deer license will be about $368. If not drawn, only the species license fee will be refunded; the annual license costs and application fee (appx. $15) are nonrefundable. If purchasing the OTC/private only deer license for voucher hunts, the cost is about $355. This is in addition to the annual license costs, and application fees may still apply. New Mexico does not operate on a points system, so points will not be awarded if not drawn. If voucher is selected for the hunt, prices will vary depending on the unit. Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final destination city is either Albuquerque, NM or Las Cruses, NM. Best airport to fly into is Albuquerque. Depending on the unit drawn, hunter can expect a 2-4 hour drive to camp. If flying, hunter must rent a car to get to camp.

Description
This hunt can take place year round depending on what tag is drawn. This hunt can take place in winter months, but weather will still be warm because this hunt is located in southern New Mexico. Mornings and evenings may be cooler, so layering systems are recommended. Hiking conditions and terrain will depend will be rocky and dry. Field transportation will be provided by horses, trucks, or side x sides. You will get to see some cool country and save your legs! Full gear list to be provided when booked.
