Description
A great opportunity to shoot your free range bison in Montana if you are the lucky on to draw! This hunt usually takes 1-2 days to get a bison down, so this hunt is arranged as a daily rate. Hunter needs to be available on an on-call situation. Bison can only be taken when they are outside the park boundaries. This outfitter runs snowmobiles in the winter months and keeps a close eye on when the bison are moving. If hunter is able to travel and is flexible, this hunt can be possible and outfitter will notify the hunter when the bison are migrating out of the park. All lodging and food will be client provided. This will be a 1:1 fully guided hunt. A $200 non-refundable deposit will be required to book. Full payment will be required when animal is down. Montana has a totally random draw for bison. You cannot collect points, you must apply to have a chance at the hunt.

Mature and large bulls will be targeted. Hunter can expect to see a mixture of 1.5 to 10-12 year old bulls.

- Member Price: $995.00
- Non-Member Price: $1,100.00
Current pricing for the bison license and hunting fees will be $1250.00 for a non-resident. Nonresidents are limited to, but not guaranteed, 10 percent of the hunting district’s license quota. Currently 85 licenses are given each year for either sex tags combined for non-residents and residents.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Field transportation will be provided. Depending on the amount of snow at the time, snowmobiles will be used. Light hiking will be required to get close enough to the animals and to take a shot.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final destination city if flying is either Bozeman, Montana or Big Sky, Montana. Hunter will be required to rent a car if flying and drive to West Yellowstone and book a local hotel. All field transportation will be provided.

Description
The hunting season for bison in Montana runs from mid November to mid February. Bison tend to start to migrate in later part of the season when the snow is deep. Hunter should be prepared for cold weather, snow, and deep snow. Warm clothing (layering system recommended) snow gaiters, and insulated boots are a must. Outfitter will provide field transportation with snowmobiles. Outfitter will also cape and quarter your animal once you get one down. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
