Description

A great opportunity to hunt plains Bison in British Columbia. This is a 10 day fully guided 1:1 hunt. Boone & Crockett recognizes this herd as a species for the North American Super Slam. A large herd of bison with opportunities at big free range bison bulls. Hunter will stay in a nice heated outpost cabin with all the amenities of home. All meals are included on this hunt. Temperatures during this time of year range from 15 to negative 15 so be prepared for some cold weather. Options to shoot a wolverine with a trophy fee. Trophy fee for wolverines are $4000.00. Options for a non-hunter. This hunt is paired with a moose to give hunter an opportunity at two great North American species. The diversity of habitat with high mountain meadows, pine ridges, willow flats, and many river bottoms make this area excellent for trophy moose hunting. Thrilling rut encounters with big bulls and post-rut rifle hunts when the boys get back together and they start feeding to prepare for another BC winter. This is a post-rut moose hunt.

Classification details:

Average moose are 50"-55" B&C. Bull bison in the area are 5-15 years of age.

Weapons description:

Firearm must be .24 caliber or greater with at least an 18.5″ barrel.
Hunter should be comfortable to up to 400 yards for best shot opportunity.

    Licenses not included in the hunt price. Option to take a charter in or ride ATV to the hunt spot. Charter is an additional fee of $3000 per person, whereas ATV is an additional $1000 per person. If charter is not selected, then hunter must be prepared for a 4 hour ATV ride to the hunting area. **4 Spots available 2024.

    Refund Policy:

    Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Thrilling rut encounters with big bulls and post-rut rifle hunts when the boys get back together and they start feeding to prepare for another BC winter. This is a wilderness horse back hunt. All meals and lodging included. Bull bison will also be targeted. Boone & Crockett recognizes this herd as a species for the North American Super Slam. A large herd of bison with opportunities at big free range bison bulls. Hunter will stay in a nice heated outpost cabin with all the amenities of home. All meals are included on this hunt. Options to shoot a wolverine with a trophy fee. Options for a non-hunter. Wolves may be shot with no trophy fee if seen.

    Camps are set up with a lot of modern amenities. Comfortable heated sleeping cabins, good dining facilities, and hot showers. Wall tent may be utilized if needed. Spike camp may be utilized in the form of a wall tent like set up will be will be outfitted with a stove for heat.

    Meals prepared in camp. If you spike out after a spotted animal you an expect to use backpack amenities. Fresh foods and homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes.

    Hunter will need to be prepared for a lot of horseback riding. Once an animal is located, a stalk will need to be made.


    Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

    Book your flight to Fort Saint John in British Columbia. From here transportation is provided to and from our hunting camps in British Columbia. Please arrive 2 days before the first hunt start date. Hunter will be responsible for a hotel stay the day before and after the hunt. This allows for ample time to settle in and check rifles before the hunt begins. Hunter needs to be able to travel the early morning before the first hunt day.

    Description

    Hunter should be prepared for 10 days on horseback in pursuit of big bulls during the rut. Weather can be unpredictable during the fall, so hunter should be prepared for rain or snow or sunshine. Comfortable and durable hiking boots are a must. Layering system recommended. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
