Description

Spot and stalk hunting. We typically hunt from one of our outpost Cabins, heat, electricity, and depending upon conditions, a Polaris Ranger 6X6 UTV for transportation in the valley. This is calving season for the moose and caribou. Every cow is a walking bait station often bears sit down wind waiting for the cow to birth then aggressively charge in and kill the calf, occasionally killing the cow as well. Bears are breeding as well. Be prepared to hike to get into position for the stalk and shot. Typically you will see a lot of wildlife on these hunts- Grizzlies, Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, Black Bear, Wolves and sometimes Wolverines. Days can be quite warm with frost at night. Hunting near tree line in the Alaska Range.
