Description
Spend a week on an authentic working cattle ranch in Northeastern Wyoming. Family owned and operated for over 100 years and situated on 10,000 acres nestled between Devils Tower National Monument and Black Hills National Forest. Each week on the ranch is customized to the guest's interests and the seasonal work a ranch must follow. Horseback riding is the feature of most ranch vacations, along with ranch tours on ATV's, driving tractors, fishing, fossil and shed horn hunting among other activities. The ranch pastures roughly 1000 head of cattle each summer that the staff and guests must attend to, which provides each guest the opportunity to join in on a cattle drive. Various times of year provide for different opportunities for ranch work. Calving season starts in April followed by their annual branding in mid-May. Summer brings haying season and lots of tractor time as well as local rodeos. Autumn means the grass is nearly gone and it's time to ship out the cattle after our annual roundup. Meals, lodging and activities are included in your stay. The modern cabins are comfortable and western in design, and home cooked meals are served family style in the ranch headquarters. Their vacations start with 3 night packages to ensure you will leave with a true western ranch experience.
