They hunt Mountain Goats in Hunt Area #2, which is the best area in the state for trophy Billies. This outfitter has hunted goats in this area since the inaugural season in 1999. This outfitter has taken more trophy Mountain Goats out of area 2 than all the other outfitters in area 2 combined. They pack deep into the Snake River Range and hunt out of a spike camp in the heart of big billie country. Hunters should always apply for this once in a lifetime license. They will work hard to get you a trophy Billie. This is a 7 day hunt for one hunter.

If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunter should be prepared for heavy hiking when closing the distance for mountain goats. Horses will be used as much as possible, but hiking will be required. Spot and stalk hunt.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Outfitter suggests its best to fly into Denver, Colorado and rent a car and drive to lodge. This is roughly a 6 hour drive. Other options are to fly to Rapid City, South Dakota and rent a car to drive. This is about a 3 hour drive. Billings airport can be a challenge to fly into as other hunters have lost had lost luggage or canceled flights.

Description
This is a fully guided 7 day hunt. This a backcountry hunt and hunter should be prepared to spend several days in the backcountry using spike camp as base. Hunter should be prepared with hiking gear and hunting gear for moderate to colder days as you will be hunting the alpine looking for billies.
