Non Resident Hunting License & Elk Tag are approximately $ 672 a hunter. These fees are not included in the hunt price. Payments for the hunt must be paid in full when booked.

Hunters are purchasing a ranch-only landowner elk voucher. This tag gives your access to a 3000 acre ranch that holds a lot of resident elk. Hunters can pick any 5 consecutive days between October 1- December 31. This ranch has a very healthy population of elk. The terrain on the this ranch is very easy. The habitat is mostly oak brush and sage brush.

Hunters can camp on property in a tent or trailer. Other option is to stay in Chama, NM which is about 30 miles North of the ranch for more comfortable lodging.

Hunter should be prepared to do some hiking, but this is relatively easy terrain. Great for youth or those with physical limitations. Relatively flat area with pinon pine and sage. This ranch supplies a lot of road access. Hunters may choose to bring an ATV or a Side x Side if driving.


Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

Hunter is responsible to get to the location with their vehicle. Hunter can fly into Albuquerque, New Mexico and rent a vehicle if desired, but best to drive for transportation of meat.

Description

Weather in the area can remain warm into fall. Hunter should be prepared to bring warm to moderate weather hunting clothing if booking earlier. There is a lot of road access on the ranch and so if hunter chooses, they can bring their own ATVs and Side x Sides. Landowner may be available to help with game retrieval. Depends on time of year you choose to hunt. Adventure specialist can help with providing a more detailed list once dates have been determined.
