Current Refund Policy

This policy applies to Hunt bookings through Rolling Bones Outdoors (RBO).

Refunds, Insurance & Hunt Credits

Refund Policy

Deposits and payments made through Rolling Bones Outdoors (RBO) are non-refundable, as they secure your adventure dates and prevent those dates from being offered to other clients. In the event of a cancellation, all deposits and payments made through RBO will be forfeited.

Refunds may be available through your outfitter, and clients are encouraged to contact their outfitter directly to review the applicable refund policy immediately after booking. RBO will work with the client and outfitter to evaluate refund requests based on the circumstances and any agreement reached between RBO and the outfitter. If an outfitter approves a refund, a minimum handling fee of 15% of the total booking price retained by RBO will not be refunded under any circumstances.

At the discretion of RBO and the outfitter, clients who cancel may be eligible to receive a hunt credit if RBO is able to secure a replacement client for the canceled adventure at the regular price. Hunt credits are not guaranteed and are subject to approval by both RBO and the outfitter.

Please note that state and government license fees, application fees, draw results, and tags are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another adventure through RBO.

Hunt Credit Policy

If a hunt credit is approved, the credit must be applied toward another RBO adventure within one (1) year of the date it is issued. The selected adventure may take place after that one-year period.

  • Eligible Adventures: Hunt credits may be applied toward any adventure listed in the RBO catalog, subject to RBO approval and acceptance of the selected adventure before the credit is transferred.
  • Credit Amount: The credit will equal all payments made toward the original canceled hunt through RBO. Any remaining balance on the new adventure must be paid by the client.
  • Single Use: Hunt credits may be applied to only one adventure and cannot be divided among multiple adventures or outfitters.
  • Excess Credit: If the hunt credit exceeds the total price of the selected adventure, the unused balance will not be refunded or issued as an additional credit.
  • Expiration: Any unused hunt credit will expire one (1) year and one (1) day after the date it is issued.

All hunt credits are subject to RBO approval and the applicable outfitter's agreement.

Travel & Hunt Insurance

RBO strongly recommends purchasing travel and hunt cancellation insurance to protect against unexpected circumstances, including illness or other events that may prevent you from participating in your booked adventure. Certain insurance providers specialize in coverage for outfitter bookings and hunting trips. One provider to consider is Global Rescue. Clients are responsible for reviewing policy terms and selecting coverage appropriate for their needs.
