Description

A great opportunity to hunt cow elk in Wyoming! This is a fully guided 2:1 hunt with all meals and lodging provided. Outfitter can accommodate for hunting parties of up to 6. This is a draw license and applications must be made in January for non-resident hunters. In some cases, there are leftover licenses, but we advise to make the necessary applications as we are seeing less and less leftover options. This hunt will take place on roughly 30,000 private acres. This outfitter has many ranches in the area and access to many private areas allowing for great shot opportunity. Option for a non-hunter for an additional fee.

Classification details:

Live weight for cow elk are 400-600 lbs. Mature cows will be targeted. Licenses required by the state of WY are not included in the hunt price listed. When applying for the draw, a conservation stamp (appx. $21.50) is required in addition to the license cost paid at the time of application (appx. $288). The application fee must also be remitted when applying (appx. $15). Non-resident elk applications are due in January.

    Refund Policy:

    Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

This hunt does not demand heavy hiking, but hunters must be prepared to hike 1-2 miles a day. This outfitter has several leases and ranches so opportunity to get on to elk is very high in the area.

    There are several cabins on the property. There is room for 4 hunters per cabin. Bunk style beds. Stoves in cabins. Full kitchen in the main lodge where food will be served. Showers and bathroom are on a site in a separate building. Also has a hot tub. Laundry machine in the main lodge. Mattress are supplied, but hunters need to bring their own pillow and bedding.

    Lunches can be served in town (outfitter provided). Eggs and bacon for breakfast, packed lunches or lunch served at the lodge. Steaks for dinner. Homestyle cooking-meat and potatoes.

    Hunters can expect light hiking on this hunt. Field transportation will be provided with a truck. Hunters will be expected to be able to hike 1-2 miles per day. This is a spot and stalk hunt and elk will be in large herds.


    Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

    Final meeting spot is city is Pinedale, Wyoming. Outfitter will provide a pin to the camp if hunters are driving. Final flight destination is Jackson, Wyoming. Hunter will need to rent a car and drive roughly 90 miles to camp.

    Description

    Hunter must be prepared for some cooler weather for this hunt. Weather can be moderate with sun, or snow may be present. Outfitter will use trucks for field transportation. Once elk are located, hunter will need to be ready to hike 1-2 miles to get into position to make a shot. Outfitter will supply quartering and skinning of game for transportation. All meat processing is the hunter's responsibility. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
