Description
Alaska Peninsula Brown Bear hunts are conducted in different times of year based on the region. The fall hunt will take place in odd numbered years around Port Heiden and is a premier brown bear hunting are. Coastal brown bears can grow more than 11ft with skulls measuring more than 30 inches. If you prefer hunting in the fall and are truly after a ten-foot brown bear you may want to consider our fall brown bear hunting area in unit 9E near Port Heiden. For this hunt you will fly from Anchorage to Port Heiden with Pen Air. Season dates for this area are from October 1st through the 25th of odd numbered years. This part of the Alaska peninsula is managed by the state of Alaska to ensure trophy sized brown bear. The Alaska Peninsula Spring hunts take place in even years near Cold Bay which is a premier spring Brown Bear hunting area. Cold Bay is the best location for trophy brown bear in Alaska. The Aleutian Range makes the perfect backdrop for glassing giant coastal brown bear. Brown bear in units 9E and 9D grow to more than 11 ft square, with skulls measuring more than 30 inches. More SCI record brown bear have been taken from these two units than any others in Alaska. This hunt is a one-on-one, fully guided, 8-day hunt.

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunting is done from a spike camp only accessed by a super cub with large tundra tires. We are continually checking on our camps and moving as conditions change. Outfitter will provide cots.
