Description
Interior Grizzly/Brown Bear…On these hunts, outfitter targets mature males. Boar grizzlies can grow to 9’ but the average is around 7’6”. Bears in the 8’ range are not uncommon. Boar brown bears in the Alaska Range can grow to 9’ 6” but the average is around 8’. Hunter will spot and stalk hunt from cabins and tent camps as well as hunt over bait. The spring hunts range from snowmobile hunting in April to glassing slopes that have started to green up in May and June. Our baited hunts start in May and run through June 15th. The fall hunts are spot and stalk or baited, August and September into early October. This is a 1:1 fully guided 10 day hunt.

Refund Policy:
Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

This hunt will be conducted out of lodge and a backpacking tent supplied by the outfitter depending on where the animals are located.

Good backpacking food. Freeze dried foods and snacks. When staying in the cabin home cooked homestyle cooking will be served-meat and potatoes.

This is a hunt that requires heavy backpacking-need strong metal capacity. More physically fit provide better shot opportunity. Hunter can expect a lot of hiking for this hunt in pursuit of mature boars. Outfitter can accommodate, but hunter may hike up to 3-7 miles a day.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final Destination city is Anchorage, Alaska. Outfitter will supply a charter plane to and from camp. Hunter will need to book a hotel before and after their hunt.

Description
Hunter should be prepared for a mix of cabin hunting and backpack tent hunting. Hunter will stay in either a tent or cabin and put the miles on looking for big mature boars. Outfitter will supply the tent, but hunter is responsible for other sleeping gear. Plastic boots are recommended. Weather can vary at higher elevations so moderate to cold weather hunting gear should be packed. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
