Description
This hunt combines a classic Colorado rifle elk adventure with the opportunity to pursue mule deer. Hunters will base out of wall-tent camps set deep in the mountains, with solid road access allowing trucks and side-by-sides to reach key glassing points and trailheads each day. Expect long hours behind the optics, picking apart basins, timber pockets, and high ridgelines for feeding or transitioning animals. Daily hikes range from moderate to heavy depending on activity, with elevation changes typical of the central Colorado high country. This hunt is strictly only for Colorado's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rifle seasons. In the past years non-residents have drawn the tag with only 6 points. *2:1 Hunt *Can be a 1:1 Hunt
