If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

    Hiking will be moderate as you will hike up to a mile off the road to a glassing nob. Trucks and UTV/ATV will be the your main source of transportation.

    Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

    Final destination city is Salida Colorado. Outfitter will pick up hunter from these local airports. Hunter can also fly into Denver, Colorado and drive to lodge (~3 hour drive).

    Description

    Hunters should be prepared for rugged mountain terrain and changing Colorado weather. Quality waterproof hiking boots, layered clothing, rain gear, warm gloves, and a good hat are essential. A reliable rifle with a properly sighted-in scope, sturdy backpack, trekking poles, binoculars, and a comfortable daypack are recommended. Hunters should also bring plenty of water, personal gear, and clothing suitable for cold mornings, warmer afternoons, and possible snow.
