Description

Experience an authentic western elk hunt on Utah's open bull units, where hunters have the opportunity to pursue mature Rocky Mountain bulls in vast, rugged backcountry. These hunts take place in remote mountain terrain featuring dark timber, aspen groves, alpine meadows, and steep canyons that provide ideal elk habitat. Our experienced guides scout extensively before the season, locating active bulls and monitoring herd movement to maximize your opportunity for success. Hunting methods include bugling, spot-and-stalk, and glassing, with hunts conducted on foot or by horseback depending on the area and hunter preference. Horseback hunts provide access to remote country that receives less hunting pressure while delivering a true western backcountry experience. This is a fully guided, 1x1 7 day hunt that includes experienced local guides, pre-season scouting, trophy care, and meat retrieval, offering an unforgettable adventure for hunters looking to chase bugling bulls in Utah's beautiful backcountry.

    Description

This hunt takes place during Utah's General Season Elk season. Hunters should be prepared for cool mornings and evenings with comfortable daytime temperatures, although mountain weather can change quickly. Rain, snow, and freezing temperatures are always possible, so quality rain gear and a versatile layering system are highly recommended. Durable, waterproof hiking boots are essential, as hunters may cover several miles through steep, rocky, and timbered terrain. Gloves, a warm hat, and a comfortable daypack are also recommended. A complete gear list will be provided upon request to ensure you are fully prepared for your hunt.
